This is the Minnesota Birding Report for Thursday, October 23rd 2008.

On October 19th, two PLEGADIS IBIS were in the southeast corner of the junction of Wilkin County Road 26 and state highway 9. Another was seen on the 18th at the Kvermo WMA in Lincoln County, about a mile and a half east of the town of Hendricks.

A possible BARROW'S GOLDENEYE was reported on the 19th at Wigwam Bay of Mille Lacs Lake. The location was by the rocks just offshore at the junction of Mille Lacs County Road 25 and U.S. Highway 169.

A RED PHALAROPE was seen on the 22nd along the breakwater at Lighthouse Point in Two Harbors, Lake County.

A PACIFIC LOON was on Lake Superior on the 19th out from the LaFayette Square board walk behind the Park Point Community Club in Duluth.

On the 21st, a CAROLINA WREN was in Dan and Sandy Thimgan's yard in Battle Lake, Otter Tail County.

And a TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE was seen on the 18th at the Ann Lake campground of Sherburne NWR in Sherburne County.
