The MRVAC field trip around Eastern Scott County found 2 Ross' geese at =
the New Prague sewage pond this afternoon around 2:30. They were only =
slightly larger than the ring-billed gulls on shore. The geese were =
eating grass on the west end of the pond.
There were also canvasbacks, redheaded ducks, ring necks, lesser scaup, =
coots and probably some others I'm forgetting at the sewage pond.
Orchard Lake and McMahon Lake had quite a few red-breasted mergansers. =
Cynthia Lake had a nice assortment of waterfowl.
