This is the Duluth Birding Report for Thursday, August 7, 2003, sponsored
by the Minnesota Ornithologists' Union.
The trickle of fall migration has continued over the past two weeks, with a
few reports of warblers and flycatchers that are apparently migrating.
Janet Riegle reported several species of shorebirds from 40th Ave West/Erie
Pier in Duluth last weekend, including BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER.
The next scheduled update of this report will be in two weeks, on Thursday,
August 21st.
The phone number for the Duluth Birding Report is (218) 728-5030, and
callers can report bird sightings if they wish after the tone at the end of
each tape.
The Duluth Birding Report is sponsored and funded by the Minnesota
