I was at Canal Park and saw the following birds.

Western Grebe (reported earlier a week or so ago). The grebe was seen in =
the lake between the canals and Fitgure's building.

Thayer's Gull (adult) This gull was on the north pier of the main entry =
mixed in with Herring Gulls. There was also a winter adult Ring-billed =
Gull in the loose group of gulls.

Cooper's Hawk soared over my head and scared up the gulls and landed in =
a nearby tree giving me plenty of time to study this late accipter that =
normally is uncommon here in the winter if not rare.

Red-breasted Merganser in same vicinity as the W. Grebe and this =
merganser is a hard to find merganser here in the winter and on CBC's.

Robin was seen just north of the French River and I haven't seen many =
robins around this late fall or early winter.

Bohemian Waxwings were feeding in the crab apple tree kitty corner of =
Emily's Cafe. This crab tree is on the corner with the yellow house.

** While my computer was being reformatted last week my feeders were =
host to 4 grackles and a tree sparrow. These birds are gone I assume but =
there are still junco's around. The northern cardinals are still =
visiting my feeder and I have up 4 birds visiting my feeder. Usually I =
have just a pair that come every day.
