This evening I found a SHORT-EARED OWL along County Road 1 north of Aitkin. It was about one half mile north of the diversion channel bridge (this is fairly close to where the Snowy Owl was seen --sadly seen for the last time last Friday night). A lot of ducks, geese and swans are beginning to show up in the rice paddies along C.R. 1 also. Warren Nelson
