This evening I went down with my son, Ben to look at waterfowl on Mud =
Lake. There were about 15+ Tundra Swans and about 13 or so White =
Pelicans mixed in with some roosting cormorants. There were several =
large rafts of scaup and a lot of buffleheads.
We walked the RR tracks and got to the area where the water is both =
sides of the tracks (traditional place for Virginia rails and soras) and =
if you look to the SE there you'll find the swans and pelicans.
There was also a swamp sparrow singing here as well.
