I hope this report gets forwarded to WisBird as well.

A grey morph Gyrfalcon was reported seen yesterday and reported to me =
today by Kim Risen and his private bird tour.

The falcon was seen today around noon at the Peavy Elevators in =
Superior, WI. To get there from Duluth, take highway 535 over the "High =
Bridge" to Superior and follow the signs to highway 2/53. Follow 2/53 =
for a mile or so and watch for a street sign for Connors Pt. and take a =
left here. Follow Connors Pt. to the Peavy Elevator. The best viewing =
spots is from the road.

There are other elevators worth exploring back by bridge that took you =
over to Superior, WI and that is the General Mills Elevator by the foot =
of the bridge. At this spot there are several other elevators right to =
the west of General Mills that are worth checking for the falcon.

So far NO Snowy Owls have been reported in the Harbor since the week of =
Dec. 20th.=20

** On the Duluth side there is also a adult Peregrine Falcon that is =
hanging around the Cargil Elevators. I added this so birders be careful =
and not misidentified the Gyr for a Peregrine. The Peregrine probably =
hunts on both side of the bay. So be careful.
