[mou] Winter Robins in Minnesota?

I noticed that there was a report of an American Robin at a feeder in 
Warroad on January 12th.  I myself saw a robin yesterday at the U of M (St. 
Paul campus), eating berries with a group of starlings.  I am wondering when 
robins began staying in Minnesota all winter?  Have others been observing 
this same trend?  How far north have they been observed? I remember when 
seeing a robin was the first sign of spring!

I'd be interested in any literature/ official information or personal 
observations.
