Ok, I really need to get a digital camera I can digi-scope with and post immediate
pictures for you all to review, I believe I might have gotten my 371st life bird and 237th
MN life bird.. I just shot a few pictures of what I'm fairly sure was a Hoary Redpoll,
the best sign on this bird was it's bill it was noticeably shorter than the 2 dozen or so
others with it on m y feeders and as the Sibley guide describes "fluffy nasal feathering",
very white bird and the undertail coverts had maybe one streak, I've been studying my
Sibley guide for the last 20 minutes before posting this but after seeing enough Common
Redpolls and seeing this one I'm pretty convinced I got the right bird.
I'll be keeping an eye out for it to return but for now that group flew off, if it starts
snowing tonight I'm hoping that will bring them in to my feeders tomorrow..
