There were 7 Marbled Godwits in the wetland at the SW end of Lake Osakis in
Douglas County on Saturday evening visible from Cnty 3, less than a mile N. of
MN 27 at the W. side of Osakis. Four were there again this morning at 10 or
so. The White faced Ibis failed to show yesterday or today but the Dunlin (4)
were at the same wet meadow off of Douglas 10 yesterday. This morning there were
many Bonaparte's Gulls and a couple of Franklin's mixed in at the same
meadow. The "ponds" at Albany had 3 Wilson's phalaropes on Sat. The "ponds" at
Paynesville had one Marbled Godwit in the pool below the "ponds". The wetland W. of
Montrose had nothing of note and the "ponds" at Montrose are newly fenced and
very difficult to see from the road. Also missed on the Clarke's Grebe{s} on
Osakis.
