Went to Grey Cloud Dunes SNA looking for the Spotted Towhee. Saw what I
believe to be an E. Towhee with six white spots on the scapulars (no white on the
wings) which actually sang the E. Towhee song. May go back to look again
tomorrow-comments welcome. Saw an Orchard Oriole at the same site, lots of
Grasshopper Sparrows. Saw another E. Towhee at Lost Valley SNA and many sparrows (DNR
is doing lots of burns on this SNA). Saw and heard a Cerulean along road just
S. of Miss. R in Dakota and saw a Bay-Breasted at Schaars Bluff. The N.
Waterthrush was still stalking the 140th St. marsh
