On Friday evening 5.07.04 Leslie Marcus, Linda Sparling and I found 2 American Avocets in Toqua Township in Big Stone Co. They were in a pothole on CR 54, 1 mile West of its Intersection with CR 61 on the south side of the road. During the day we also saw Western Kingbirds on CR 67, and Short-billed Dowitchers, Bairds Sandpipers, and a nice mix of shorebirds on CR 4 just west of US 75.

In Lac Qui Parle County this afternoon from 2-3 at the Plover Prairie Preserve Nature Conservancy Natural Area East Unit, we enjoyed seeing Marbled Godwits, Upland Sandpipers, American Golden Plovers, and Bobolinks.
