For the second year in a row, Sandhill Cranes have nested in the wetland =
in the SE part of Section 16, Woodville Township, which is about a mile =
east of the southern part of the city of Waseca. This morning (5/31), I =
saw two adults with an approximately one-foot tall "colt" in exactly the =
same spot as on 5/26/03. This is far from the breeding areas listed in =
Bob Janssen's Birds in Minnesota.
