Just got home and have several owls not on Mikes' list of owls.

Great Gray Owls: 10/31-two about 50 yds north of the intersection of Cook
Co Rd 14 and Trout Lake Rd (Forest Rd 140), 11/1-one on the Lima Grade
(Forest Road 315) in the burn area about 4 miles south of the Gunflint
Trail, 11/1-one at the stream crossing about 1.1 miles north on the Trout
Lake Road (Forest Road 140) from Cook County Road 16

Northern Hawk Owls; 10/31 - two on the Lima Grade (Forest Road 315) about
3.5 to 4 miles south of the Gunflint Trail

Also of interest were 35 Long-tailed Ducks on 11/1 at the mouth of the
Cascade River and a flock of 6 Boreal Chickadees (11/1) in the short planted
Spruce trees just east of the Lima Grade (Forest Road 315) on the Lima
Mountain Road (Forest Road 152.) Also at least 6 groups of Common Redpolls
were seen north of Grand Marais in flocks ranging from 10 to 25 birds.
Maybe another small invasion year?

The Lesser Blacked Gull was at the mouth of the Knife River today.
