A snowy owl (11/21) and northern hawk owl (11/22 & 23) were located by
refuge staff this week. The snowy was seen along the "Magneson" refuge
road off of Hwy 65, 0.5 miles south of the visitor center. The northern
hawk owl was watching the world from power poles along the wildlife drive
just before the bridge. Northern shrikes, rough-legged hawks and common
redpolls have also been seen this week.

Happy Thanksgiving
