Today around 1:45 pm I found a juvenile Ross's Goose in a mixed flock of =
Canada and Cackling Geese at Somsen Slough WMA, two miles west of New =
Ulm on Hwy. 14. I was able to get very good looks at it through the =
scope from maybe 150 yards and the sun was to my back. My ID was made =
based on its relatively small size, noticeably round head and stubby =
bill.
