This is the Minnesota Birding Report for Thursday, April 28th.

Late last week there was a somewhat ambiguous report of a BLACK-NECKED=20=

STILT from Big Stone County, and the bird was briefly relocated on=20
April 24th at the Centennial WPA, which is along county road 6 about=20
4.3 miles east of the town of Clinton. Unfortunately the bird has not=20
been seen since.

On April 28th, two CATTLE EGRETS were in a farm field near Long Prairie=20=

in Todd County. The location was the dead end road that goes west from=20=

county road 11 about a mile north of county road 10.
AMERICAN AVOCETS, WILLET, LEAST SANDPIPERS, and BAIRD'S SANDPIPERS were=20=

all seen by Denny and Barb Martin in Big Stone County on the 25th. The=20=

avocet was on county road 61 about a mile north of county road 4. They=20=

also report a probable CLARK'S GREBE  on Thielke Lake.

A EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVE was at Chad Aakre's feeder in Winona County=20
last week, and it is still being seen in the general area. Check=20
especially along 10th Street between Harriet and Wilson.

There have also been recent reports of SWAINSON'S HAWK, DUNLIN, CASPIAN=20=

TERN, FRANKLIN=92S GULL, BONAPARTE=92S GULL, PURPLE MARTIN, MARSH WREN,=20=

BLUE-GRAY GNATCATCHER, YELLOW WARBLER, ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER,=20
BLACK-AND-WHITE WARBLER, COMMON YELLOWTHROAT, and LARK SPARROW.

The next scheduled update of this tape is Thursday, May 5th.
