Hey birders!

Yesterday I watched a beautiful adult Krider's
Red-tailed Hawk soar over the campus at Bethany
Lutheran College here in Mankato.

The person who initially spotted it (non-birder) said
that he thought it was a Snowy Owl since it was so
white. Indeed it was. Except for the commas and the
faint patagial marks, the underside of the wings and
body were pure white. The tail was a very diluted
rusty color, paler at the base.

Happy birding!
