Yesterday morning (5-29), I came across a orange variant male Scarlet =
Tanager. He had a deep orange-red head and breast while the back and =
belly were a yellowish orange turning to yellow under the tail. He had =
the classic black wings of a Scarlet Tanager. Compared to the =
illustration of this variation in the Sibley Guide, this bird had more =
orange and yellow on it. A very striking bird!

He was singing in the woods just off of 75 after it crosses the Credit =
River.
