Birded Sherburne CR 2 Ponds, Sherburne refuge, Kathio State Park, briefly
along Mille Lacs lakeshore, Father Hennepin State Park and Pioneer Park from
Friday night through Tuesday mornings. Highlights were:

* Two Franklin's Gulls (immature, very brown), Highway 2 ponds (there
briefly Friday night, not on Saturday)

* Number of dowitchers, Hwy 2 (initially presumed Short-billed since they
were my first of season, but county list does not have them occuring in the
fall??? - they never flew nor called)

* 17 warbler species total (best area was Hennepin, 12 species in 30 minutes
along entry road Monday), nothing exotic

* Olive-sided Flycatcher, Blue Hill Trail, Sherburne NWR

* Red-headed Woodpecker calling this morning, Mille Lacs CR 12 (3/4 mile
west of 169)

On to Duluth on the 10th!
