Found at the Sleepy Eye sewage ponds today were:
1 Black-bellied Plover - this individual was still in its breeding =
plumage and quite striking to view.
4 Red-necked Phalaropes
6 Buff-breasted Sandpipers -- I saw at least six together at one time; =
the birds were moving around so it's possible that there were more. =
These birds were very approachable; at one point two birds landed near =
me and then foraged to within twenty feet of where I was and which gave =
great looks in the scope. =20
