Hello:
Last year on Sept 4th Peder Svingen found a Little Gull and a Sabine's =
Gull on Lake Superior. On September 9th Tom Auer and I spotted 3 jaegers =
on Lake Superior and then on September 16th Tom Auer recorded 60+ Sabine =
Gulls on Lake Superior!! On October 1st Tom Auer's Pelagic trip on Lake =
Superior produced 2 Sabine Gulls and a Red Phalarope! Then on September =
18th I spotted a juvenile Long-tailed Jaeger (accepted by the WSO), =
Artic Tern, 2 Sabine Gulls and a Pacific Loon. The first part of =
September thru mid October are very exciting times on Lake Superior and =
these pelagic trips will bring birders out into the open waters of Lake =
Superior in search of these birds and more!
I have 10 open seats for the September 9th Trip!=20
I have 4 seats open for the September 23rd trip. This trip is also the =
same weekend as Hawk Ridge Weekend. (Gulls/Water birds & Raptors in the =
afternoon)
I have 4 seats open for the Oct 7th trip
The trips begin at 8:00am and finish around 12:30-1pm depending how well =
we do in finding birds. I supply coffee. juice, water and snacks for the =
trip. There is plenty of seating and space to walk around or stand =
during the trip.
For more information please email at: Smithville4@charter.net
Good birding!=20
