This is the Duluth Birding Report for Thursday, August 10th, sponsored
by the Minnesota Ornithologists' Union.

The SLATY-BACKED GULL is still being seen on a regular basis, in the
same locations in Grand Marais. Bruce Stahly located the bird today on
the lawn in front of the East Bay Suites.

Jan Green saw two AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS on Interstate Island on August
4th, and Peder Svingen found a GREAT EGRET today at Indian Point in
Duluth.

On August 9th, Tom Auer had a pair of PEREGRINE FALCONS sitting in a
Spruce tree across from the Beaver Bay Sewage Ponds on Lake County
Highway 4.

The next scheduled update of this report will be on Thursday, August
17th.
