Notable sightings from Jason Bolish & Bob Messersmith's trip to the =
Sax-Zim Bog on 2/12/05:
Northern Hawk owl in tree South side of Stone Lake Road, just East of =
Highway 7.=20
9 Rough Legged Hawks, including 2 Dark Morphs. The Dark Morphs were =
hunting together on the South side of Arcola Road East of Owl Ave.
Flock of Pine Grosbeaks on McDavitt Road.
Had 3 Grouse cross in front of us near the end of Stone Lake Road. Two =
were definitely Ruffed Grouse, but the 3rd (that stayed in the center of =
the road) looked different. Would like to know if Ruffed & other =
species of Grouse flock together. =20
