Chorus frogs in January is very unusual, but it is a strange month. =
There have been scattered reports of chorus frogs, wood frogs, and gray =
treefrogs (all leaflitter hibernators) being active during warm snowfree =
Januaries. Calling normally starts in mid-March, but is dependent on =
snow cover and temps.
