Today I received a call from my good friend Carole Brysky. She and Clemens
are at Frontenac State Park, acting as Camground Hosts for the month of May.
They had just come in from seeing a Little Blue Heron on Sand Point!! They
are great birders, and familiar with this species as they spend a lot of
time on the gulf coast during the year as campground hosts for other parks.
The bird was seen in the ponds near the end of the Sand Point trail, after
the boardwalk and bridge. There is a large pond created by high water there.
The bird was seen feeding there this AM.
If you go, and see the bird, let them know by going into the campground and
leaving a note on their trailer door if they are not there (will be gone on
Friday).

PS: On Sunday, friend Chase Davies went to check her bluebird nest trail,
and heard Henslow’s Sparrows, among other species. They have been nesting in
Frontenac St. Park for about 4-5 years now.
