If you still need this bird and have had lousy luck with the first two in Dakota County this, here is yet another chance for Snowy Egret. Go 0.3 miles west of the the new Lebanon Hills visitor center entrance road. There is a small wooded wetland on the north side of the road. It has held as many as 40 Great Egrets at one time this year. Tonight (5/5/06) at 7:30pm it also held a Snowy Egret. CAUTION: This is a busy road and potentially dangerous. Pull off on the south side of the road opposite the wetland. If you get out of your car and try to walk across the road you will spook the birds. Good luck.
