I led a Girl Scout group on the trails through the General Mills "Nature =
Park/Area" (I don't recall the name) in Golden Valley. Despite the loud, =
rowdy girl scouts, we did see a few species:
Blue-Winged Teal (1, male)
Green Heron (making a call something like a crow...?)
Gray-cheeked Thrush (in a backyard)
E. Bluebird (male, which I was baffled to see)
E. Pheobe
Canada Goose family
If anyone wants directions, e-mail me. Also, the Swainson's Thrush was =
still present near my house. Still waiting for the warblers to crowd the =
oak trees!
