This morning Jeanne and I led a MRVAC trip in the Lebanon Hills Park area
on the west side of Pilot Knob where the Diamond T Horse Ranch used to
be. There were five participants total. Once again we started the trip
with rain but the weather partially cleared by the end of the morning. We
also birded the short trail to the east of the Jensen Lake bathrooms. We
saw 48 species total including:
@ Rose-breasted Grosbeak
@ Gray Catbird
@ 12 species of warblers: Blue-winged, Tennessee, Nashville, Northern
Parula, Yellow, Yellow-rumped, Bay-breasted, Blackpoll, Black-and-white,
American Redstart, Ovenbird, Common Yellowthroat
@ Blue-headed Vireo
@ Red-breasted Nuthatch
@ Green Heron
@ Chimney Swift
@ Ruby-throated Hummingbird
@ Eastern Towhee
