At least 5 Nelson's Sharp-tailed Sparrows were present
last night (5/30) at the Boy River marsh where Cass
County 8 crosses the Boy River. One additional NSTS
was heard in the marsh along Cass County 4,
approximately 1 mile east of 8. The birds started
vocalizing at around 9:30 PM. No Yellow Rails.
Longville sewage ponds had 8 Semipalmated Plovers
yesterday.

Visited Hamden Slough yesterday. Approximately 500
shorebirds present, mostly Semipalmated, Pectoral, and
White-rumped Sandpipers. Also 1 Marbled Godwit, 1
Willet, and several Baird's Sandpipers.

On Monday visited many sewer ponds:

at Foley (near Lion's Park): 1 Wilson's Phalarope, 1
Ruddy Turnstone, and 2 Semipalmated Sandpipers.

at Gilman: Very active. 1 Willet, 6 Dunlin, 35
White-rumped Sandpipers, 50 Semipalmated Sandpipers,
and 25 Pectoral Sandpipers.

at Flensburg: 8 Wilson's Phalaropes

Most of these spots had Spotted Sandpipers as well.
