2 Valentine's Day Golden Eagles at the intersection of
MN 76 and Winona County 17.
One on either side of the highway, each perched high in
a tree just below the ridge line.
When the bird on the north side of the road decided to take
flight the other bird soon joined it.
Bright blue skies, brilliant golden heads gleaming in the sun.
Both birds were beyond first year plumage.
One of the most consistent spots for this species that I've
found, not a surprise to see them but always a welcome sight.
