The following is a summary of the responses to my query as to =
whether MOU should contribute to supporting lobbyists through Audubon =
Minnesota. Keep in mind that there was nothing official about the query, =
I did it on my own and without any decision on what to do with the =
results.=20
I received 19 responses. 16 thought it was a good idea mostly =
because they think saving habitat is political. 3 wrote that they were =
not at all in favor of such an action. Their main reason was that MOU =
should remain apolitical. Members of MOU that feel the need for =
political involvement should support organizations that promote that =
activity, such as: Audubon, Sierra Club, Earth Justice, etc.=20
Several responders were concerned about the legality of such an =
action considering our 501C status as a non-profit organization. I do =
not the answer to their question.
I thank those that took the time to respond. I enjoyed reading your =
responses. Most responders did not settle for a yes or no, but offered =
rational for their opinion.
