Chris Hockema and I birded Whitewater SP and Winona/Prairie Island today =
and found a few new season birds for us. For new ducks we found =
Green-winged Teal at Rochester Silver Lake, American Wigeon and Ruddy =
Duck in Winona, and a Long-tailed Duck in the Mississippi River just =
after entering Winona County from Wabasha County. Other new year birds =
for us was Red-Shouldered Hawk soaring over the river and Eastern Phoebe =
at Whitewater. A beautiful day.
