Common Loon - Hennepin Co

Heard my first Common Loon of the year at 2:30 pm this afternoon,
calling it's "wail" call from Sweeney Lake here in Golden Valley. Today
is also the first day of complete ice out for Sweeney Lake.

Sweeney Lake is located near the boundary of Golden Valley and
Minneapolis, approximately 0.5 miles west of the northern end of
Theodore Wirth Park.
