1996Fall Exceptional report away from Lake Superior and the latest date ever for any species of jaeger in the state: 11/8–24 Wabasha KB, mob (The Loon 69:3–6).
1999Fall One juvenile 9/8–25 St. Louis (Canal Park in Duluth) DBu, †PS et al. is apparently only the second Pomarine ever photographed in Minnesota. The first is shown on the cover of The Loon 44(3). Another juvenile 11/22 Mille Lacs (Vineland Bay on Mille Lacs L.) †PS, †AH is only the second ever found away from L. Superior (The Loon 72:56–59). Late fall dates are typical for this species in the Great Lakes Basin (Sherony and Brock 1997, Jaeger Migration on the Great Lakes, Birding 29:372–385).
2000Fall Juvenile found in Duluth for the second consecutive fall; thirteenth Minnesota record 9/23 St. Louis (Park Point) †PHS, †KRE, SLa.
2001Fall Fifteenth state record 9/19 St. Louis (Park Pt. in Duluth) †KRE et al. (The Loon 74:57–58).
2004Fall Fifteenth state record 9/7 St. Louis (juvenile at Park Point, Duluth) †PHS (The Loon 77:117).
2006Fall One juvenile 9/6–10/4 St. Louis (Park Point, Duluth) ph. †PHS, †KRE, m.ob. was joined by a second bird 10/3 only †JWL. Most unusual was a juvenile 10/15–19 Blue Earth (Eagle Lake) †RMD; it was refound by †CCB, ph. †JPM, m.ob., and furnished only the third record of this species away from Lake Superior.
2009Summer1 Eighteenth state record and first for summer season 6/3 St. Louis (2 observed from boat on Lake Superior, about a mile off Park Point, Duluth) †JLK.
2010Fall1 One Juvenile plus an unaged individual see together 10/12 St. Louis (Park Point, Duluth) †KJB.
2011Fall1 A juvenile discovered 10/2 St. Louis (Park Point R.A.) †KRE, m.ob. was photographed later that same day ph. †PHS (The Loon 84:54–55).
2018Fall1 An advanced immature or adult type was discovered 10/14 Washington (Point Douglas) BAb, ph. † RMD, ph. LMS, ph. † EzH, † PCC, ph. IsH. This is only the fourth record away from Lake Superior.
2021Fall1 A long staying dark morph first-cycle originally discovered on 9/29 at Wisconsin Point by PHS and Robbye Johnson was later documented on the Minnesota side of the border 10/12 – 11/6 St. Louis (Park Point R.A. and Superior Entry) IDv, †EzH, ph. LiH, †JGW, †DFN, ph. †PHS, m.ob.
2021Winter1 One record: 12/1 Sherburne (dark morph juvenile, Elk River landfill) ph. †JOs, †PLJ, †MAJ. This is the first winter season record in the state of any jaeger.
 
 Twenty-four records: 1 spring, 1 summer, 21 fall, and 1 winter. Recorded in two (2018, 2021) of the last ten years. More than 100 additional mostly fall records of Stercorarius sp., most recently in 2023. Formerly Casual.
