This is the Duluth Birding Report for Thursday, April 10, 2003, sponsored by the Minnesota Ornithologists' Union.

On the 6th, a ROSS'S GOOSE was reported from behind the Bayside Market at 19th and Minnesota on Park Point. The bird was with a flock of CANADA GEESE.

A NORTHERN PINTAIL was at Grand Marais, a PEREGRINE FALCON was seen at Silver Lake in Virginia, and WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS continue to sing at many locations around Northeastern Minnesota. A dozen LONG-TAILED DUCKS were still at Stony Point on the 5th.

New migrants reported this week included WOOD DUCK, RING-NECKED DUCK, and LESSER SCAUP.
