This is the Duluth Birding Report for November 22nd, 2012 sponsored by the Minnesota Ornithologists' Union.

A BRANT was found by Shawn Zierman on the 20th at Bayfront Park in the Duluth Harbor, but it has not been seen since the 20th. Shawn also found a HARLEQUIN DUCK on the 21st at the end of Minnesota Point at the Superior Entry. Joe Hudick found a MOUNTAIN BLUEBIRD on the 12th near the Sky Harbor Airport. Peder Svingen saw a WESTERN GREBE on the 14th at Lafayette Square on Park Point. Two GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE continue to be seen at Bayfront Park as recently as the 22nd.

Tim Lamey saw a RED-BELLIED WOODPECKER in Itasca County on the 19th at the north end of Bass Lake. Two RED-BELLIED WOODPECKERS continue to be seen on the 300 block of 2nd Avenue in Two Harbors.
