This is the Minnesota Birding Report for Tuesday, November 4th.
This report is being updated early because of a potential first state record LONG-BILLED MURRELET discovered today at Park Point in Duluth. Peder Svingen noticed the bird late in the morning as it fed and moved about on Lake Superior out from the Sky Harbor airport. During the day, it has been observed moving up and down the shore from the airport to the break wall at the Wisconsin state line. This bird is in basic plumage and appears to be an adult.
The next scheduled update of this report is Thursday, November 6th.
