This is the Minnesota Birding Report for Thursday, August 13th 2009.
On the 12th, a MUTE SWAN was still on the southwestern side of Rapids Lake in Carver County.
A SNOWY EGRET was still present at the Purgatory Creek Wetlands in Hennepin County on the 11th.
RED-NECKED PHALAROPES and WILSON'S PHALAROPES were at the Nicollet sewage ponds in Nicollet County on the 8th. Other southbound migrants include NASHVILLE WARBLER, BAY-BREASTED WARBLER, and PURPLE FINCH.
