As of noon today (Tues.) the two Neotropical Cormorants that Karl Bardon =
found are still at the same location on Big Stone NWR. Locally the =
location is known as the "low flow" of the Minnesota River in the Corps =
dam on the east side of the refuge. They have breeding plumage of white =
edged gular pouch and white "ear tufts". They are resting on the gravel =
spit in "east pool" about 200 yards south of the Minnesota River channel =
(in Lac Qui Parle Co.)
There is also a Double Crested with a metal USF&WS leg band in the =
crowd?
