Two winters ago there was an abundant crop of juniper berries. I, and =
others I believe in different localities, found some Y-r Warblers to be =
surviving on such berries. With this year producing another bumper crop =
of juniper berries I have been curious to find out if there would again =
be overwintering warblers. Yesterday, while the hiking was still easy, =
I checked out the good number of juniper stands in Lakeland and Lake St. =
Croix Beach with success, finding single Y-r Warblers in two separate =
stands.
