I spotted a lone Osprey flying over the Red Lake River near the American
Sugar Plant and sewage ponds in Crookston this morning; a flock of about
24 redpolls at the entrance to the Minakwa Country Club (feeding on the
birch at the entrance); a flock of a dozen prairie chix, a bald eagle
and rough-legged hawk at Tympanuchus WMA; several flocks of snow
buntings on Hwy 102 southeast of Crookston; and the campus merlin, still
buzzing pigeons near Owen Hall at the University of Minnesota,
Crookston.
