I drove through about 10 miles of Washington County and then through the Lake
Elmo Park Reserve. In about two hours I observed 41 species. There were four
pair of Common Loons on Lake Elmo (best seen from the East side of the lake).
In the park I found several Eastern Meadowlarks, a Brown-headed Cowbird and
three Trumpeter Swans (one was an immature). Outside the park and north a few
miles I found about 20 Wild Turkeys, three Wilson's Snipe and a pair of
Green-winged Teal.

If you are too busy to go birding, you are too busy.
