Found all 6 species of Minnesota grebes, including a close Clark's, in the
southwest corner of Lake Osakis, Douglas County. They were seen from the
public access in the town of Osakis. All were present at 11:00 AM except
for the two Eared Grebes. When I returned to the location at 2:00 PM the
two Eareds had shown up and the Clark's Grebe along with most of the
Westerns had moved further east and were in Todd County, being seen from the
swimming beach on the south east corner of town. Both times the Clark's was
paired with a Western and stayed fairly close to the shore.

Also in the area were the following:

Hudsonian Godwits (2)-just north of Osakis on County Road 3

White-faced Ibis-breeding plumaged adult previously found by Paul Pederson
and Ben Fritchman, on County Road 10, 1.2 miles north of the intersection
with County Road 3.

Peregrin Falcon-patrolling the marsh with the ibis thus no other shorebirds
were present and the gull and ducks were very nervous.
