I stopped by Rice Lake in Faribault Co. this morning and observed good
numbers of shorebirds including Dowitchers, Willet, Hudsonian Godwit, both
Yellowlegs, Pectorals, Least, Semi-palmated and White-rumped Sandpipers. Also
Semi-palmated Plover, Wilson's Phalarope, Bittern and Sora Rail.
The lake is still drawn down so provides a good habitat for shorebirds.
