On May 12th I spent the day with Carol Schumacher's Bluffland Bird trip
in Otter Tail and Grant Co. The day was very windy and rainy at times,
but in spite of these conditions my day list amassed a total of 104
species. We had excellent views of many interesting birds.

Some highlights were: O = Ottertail Co. G = Grant Co.
@ Ross's Goose O
@ Greater Prairie-chicken O
@ Snowy Egret G
@ Cattle Egret G
@ Black-crowned Night Heron O
14 species of shorebirds including very close inspection of:
@ Hudsonian (O) and @ Marbled Godwits (O, G) side by side
@ Baird's Sandpiper O
@ Dunlin O
@ Short-billed Dowitcher O
@ Franklin's and @ Bonaparte's Gulls O
@ Caspian (O), Forster's and Black Terns (O, G)
12 species of warblers including:
@ Northern Parula G
@ Blackpoll G
@ Black-throated Green G
@ Scarlet Tanager G
@ Harris's Sparrow O
@ Bobolink O, G large flocks

It was a great trip with just 7 people.
