[mou] Dakota Longspurs, Hooded Mergs, others

    Saw large flocks on mixed Lapand Longspurs, Horned Larks and a few Snow 
Buntings in Dakota County this afternoon. Sorted through hundreds of birds 
looking for a Smith's. Flocks were on Fischer (just N of 150th) and on the crest 
of the corn stubble field going into Schaar's Bluff. Had three White-fronted 
Geese following three Canadas on a low flyover. There were between 90 and 100 
Hooded Mergs in the city park in Hastings in a backwater pond. Saw a Kestral and 
a Merlin also.
