1994Fall Reported Jackson 8/4 AH. Second state record (The Loon 67:54–56).
1998Spring Fourth state record, on the Jackson County side of Grover's Lake WMA (The Loon 70:240–241). All acceptable reports were of one or two adults in alternate plumage and presumably referred to same individuals: 4/18 (1) KE et al., 4/21 (2) JHa, 5/20 (1) PS.
1998Fall One adult in basic plumage 10/29 Jackson (Spirit Lake) AH, probably the same individual that had been reported in Iowa. Note: Erroneous date shown in photo caption (The Loon 70:241).
1999Spring Only report: one adult photographed by SR on 3/26 Jackson (Spirit L.).
1999Fall Reported 10/9–11/13 Jackson (near Spirit L.) †AH, †PH, mob (The Loon 72:121–122). At least one of these two adults had previously been seen on the Iowa side of the border.
2000Fall Adult in basic plumage 10/8 Jackson (along north shore of Spirit L.) †AXH, †PHS. Initially reported 10/7 on the Iowa side of the border. Two adults were seen here last fall.
2001Spring One adult 4/7 Jackson (Spirit L.) †KJB was in the same general location where this species has occurred almost every year (mostly on the Iowa side of the border) since 1994.
2001Fall Adult in basic plumage 10/6–24 Jackson (north shore of Spirit L.) †AXH et al., †BRB. Fourth consecutive October at this location along the Iowa/Minnesota border.
2002Fall Adult in basic plumage 9/20–10/26 Jackson (north shore of Spirit L.) †KRE et al., ph. †PEB, ph. †PHS. Fifth consecutive fall along the Iowa/Minnesota border.
2004Fall One adult in basic plumage found by Lee Schoenewe on Iowa side of border at Spirit L. 9/26 and documented on Minnesota side of border 9/27–10/17 Jackson †DCh, †CBr, ph. †PHS. This would have been Minnesota's seventh consecutive fall record, except that last fall's bird remains undocumented.
2005Summer Reported 7/17+ Jackson (adult at Little Spirit L.) ph. †JPM, †KRE, m.ob. Initially found 7/16 on Iowa side of state line along the north shore of Spirit Lake †PHS, AXH (The Loon 78:57–58).
2005Fall Though last documented in Minnesota 10/17 Jackson ph. †DWK, the adult first found at Spirit Lake in July (please see summer report) was reported regularly on the Iowa side of the border throughout the fall season until 11/13.
2006Fall One adult in basic plumage documented at usual location along north shore of Spirit L. 10/21–22 Jackson †CMB, †JWH, †DWK, m.ob.
2007Fall1 Observed at usual location at north end of Spirit L./Little Spirit L. along Minnesota/Iowa border in Jackson County beginning 8/10 †JPE, then 9/2 ph. †PHS, ph. †AXH, †PCC. Last observed there 10/12 JCC.
 
 Fourteen records (all from Jackson County): three spring, one spring-summer, one summer-fall, and nine fall. Last recorded 2007.
