1993Fall First state record. Netted, banded, and photographed at Hawk Ridge Nature Reserve by hawk banders. 10/16 St. Louis DE et al (The Loon 66:3)
2004Fall Second state record 10/17–19 Lake (state highway 61 near Beaver Bay) †PCC, RAE; also documented †CBr, †KRE, ph. AXH, ph. †JWL, ph. †PHS.
2005Fall Third state record 10/16 Lake (Two Harbors) †JWL. Second consecutive October along the North Shore of L. Superior.
2010Fall1 Individual discovered 10/18 Hennepin (Hyland P.R.) WMS subsequently seen and photographed (ph. †DAC, ph. ChG, ph. BeH, ph. †AXH, †PEB, †CMB, m.ob., The Loon 83:94) through the morning of 10/20. Interestingly, another was at Whitefish Point, Michigan on 10/20.
2015Fall1 The fourth record for the Northeast — and fifth for the state — was discovered in St. Louis at Sax-Zim Bog 10/13 †JPH. All five records of this species have been in mid-October, 10/13–20.
