1932SummerA large nesting colony was found at Lake of the Woods, July 20th (Sw~~son). Almost all the nests had 3 eggs, and some young had hatcJed, while others were on the wing. Another colony was seen by John Huseby at Mille Lues Lake on August 3rd. Tre re were sots of 1 and 2 eggs and young of all ages.
1933Summer We quote Morse regarding two colonies seen by him: '•Observed colony of this tern at both Hennepin and Spirit Islands on Mille Lacs Lake. There were probably at least 100 nests on ile former island on August 10th. These nests contained eggs (1 to 3) and newly-hatched young. Fledgling Common Terns in various stages of development were to be seen running about the island, swimming in tho water near the island, or attempting to hide in the rock crevices. At Spirit Island, visited on August 11th, only about a dozen nests 'With eggs and young v1erc fouhd. n
1934Summer The only nests reported for this dainty fishermru1 were seen by John Dobie on June 15th a.t Oak Po:i.nt1 L.1.ke of tho Hoods. 1/3 nests with from 1 to J oggs comprised this colony.
1935Summer At Leach Lake on July 9th, Mrs. C. E. Peterson observed young of various ages and eggs in the nests. At Curry Islm1d, Lake of the Woods, Ralph Woolsey found 1 nest with 3 eggs July 2oth.
1936Summer Charles Evans' find of some one hundred nests at :t-ulle Lacs on June 19th is the only reported record for this species for this yocr. The nests contained fram one to throe eggs each.
1937SummerA colony of Wil­son's terns on Lake of the Woods was on June I6. Thirty nes~s, which held from one to three eggs, were examined.
1938SummerDr. Lakela found Tern nests on Minnzsota Point (Duiuth) on June 9 and June 29. Both nests held 3 eggs each. G. Swanson visited Spirit Island in Mille Lacs on July 2; he found hundreds of nests.
1940SummerThirty-four nests of this species were found at Lake of the Woods by Mr. and Mrs. K. Car­lander on June 23. The nests averaged 2-3 eggs each.
